Full Effect believe that children and young adults across our community have the right to have the best chance to succeed in life. We understand that sometimes a little extra support is needed for them to try new things and for fill their potential. Full Effect Volunteer Mentoring programme trains and develops mentors to provide such support.
Each development plan is flexibly designed to meet the specific needs of the individual, to ensure that Mentors receive the necessary guidance to help them progress and support the children and young people that they work with.
These pastoral mentoring sessions can be characterised as intensive behavioural, developmental and personal growth-based sessions for selected young people. The Full Effect Child Engagement and Development Workers use different supportive approaches and techniques to build trusting relationships with a child or young person who is at risk of underachieving and the most vulnerableto be affected by gang culture and violent crime in their lives.
